Absence & Sickness

You must notify us if a child will be absent from a booked session for any reason at all. Refunds are not given for absence. Krayola Kids reserves the right to contact the parent / carer if we consider the child to be too ill to remain in our care. Children with infectious / contagious ailments must be excluded until cleared.

Collection Arrangements

Children must be collected promptly and this must be by a designated collector on the child’s form. A late payment fee is charged if parents arrive after the closing time.

Cancellations

Once a place has been allocated for a child, the parent has made financial commitment to that place and is expected to pay for it. We require 4 weeks notice if your child is going to leave Krayola Kids or if you wish to change their permanent booking.

Holidays

We are open all the school year (term time including training days). We operate a Play scheme during the school Holidays .We would encourage parents to take holidays during the school holidays, as holidays taken during term time are charged at the full rate.We do not open Bank Holidays or certain days over the Christmas period

What do the changes mean to families?
Child Tax Credit. Originally given as a tax allowance in the pay packet of the breadwinner (normally the father), this will now be paid straight to the main childcarer (normally the mother).
Working Tax Credit. This is designed to boost the earnings of low-paid workers, with or without children. It also needs to be claimed and will be paid directly into the pay packet.

Who will be affected?
Nine out of ten families.

To find out if you are entitled to claim tax credits, contact the Inland Revenue. If you do not claim you will lose out - claims may be backdated

How to Claim

You will need an Inland Revenue claim pack. Call 0845 300 3900 or on the internet, go to www.inlandrevenue.gov.uk/taxcredits. For more details call the tax credits information line on 0800 500222

Complaints Procedure

You should initially discuss your problem with the Manager on site. Staff will investigate the problem and Head Office will be made aware of the situation.
If the problem is not resolved, then a complaint should be made in writing to K & EM Gamble at Head Office who will arrange to contact the parent/carer and arrange a meeting, if required.

WE BELIEVE THAT MOST COMPLAINTS ARE MADE CONSTRUCTIVELY AND CAN BE SORTED OUT AT AN EARLY STAGE. WE ALSO BELIEVE THAT IT IS IN THE BEST INTERESTS OF ALL PARTIES, THAT COMPLAINTS ARE DEALT WITH SERIOUSLY AND FAIRLY, RESPECTING THE PARENT/CARERS CONFIDENTIALITY AT ALL TIMES.

All Krayola Kids sites are registered with Ofsted working alongside the National Standards.
